About

Established in 2019 Sapphire Tribal Bellydance has created a community of dancers of all ages along the Far South Coast. Classes are held in Moruya, Bermagui and Bega and no previous dance experience is required to start.

We dance FatChance® style belly dance (FCBD®) which was created in San Francisco by Carolena Nericcio-Bohlman of FatChanceBellyDance® and is now danced all over the world. This easy to learn style of dance draws inspiration from traditional dances of the Middle East, North Africa and Europe. Costumes are feminine but strong and look beautiful on women of all ages and body types.

Sapphire Tribal regularly performs across the Far South Coast region and beyond. Performances include Candelo Arts Festival; Cobargo Folk Festival; Narooma Oyster Festival; Kangaroo Valley Folk Festival; Cooma and Bega Multicultural Festivals and the National Multicultural Festival in Canberra.

” Love to dance! I had no previous experience  but Sapphire Tribal  has been welcoming and inclusive, and lots of fun. Nicole is a great teacher, her instructions are clear and she is patient and encouraging.  It’s more of a commitment than an exercise class, but that means you gain so much more: self confidence,  improved coordination and memory . It’s a bit addictive ! “
